There are countless people who plan on going to the gym to workout but eventually abandon their plans and give the plan of getting into better physical shape. But then there are also people who continue to stick to their plans and go to the gym regularly. These people are determined and focused when it comes to achieving a better physical form. It is then very unfortunate when they are unable to achieve the shape they want even after putting in the time. This is mostly because of incorrect exercise techniques. Not only is the desired shape not achieve by the one performing the exercise, but incorrect exercises can be very harmful to somebody in the form of backaches, shoulder pains, and more.

One of the most common exercises that gym-goers perform incorrectly is the bench press technique. We thought it best to fetch an online video tutorial that showcased perfectly how to perform the bench press exercise. Not only that, but the video also mentions how not to perform the exercise.
In total, the video covers the Flat Barbell Press exercise, the Inclined Barbell Press exercise, and the Flat Dumbbell Press exercise. In all three of these exercises you will find the video showing you the wrong way to do the exercise first. The list of things not to do basically included pointing your elbows out to the side and bringing the bar very close to your neck. This ends up resulting in shoulder pains because the tension is collected in an undesired region.
The right way to perform the bench press exercises is to tuck your elbows in and to bring the bar down closer to your belly button rather than to your neck.
Do check out the video for an exact demonstration on what to do and what not to do.
